The votronic Crash sensor cs1 is used for the emergency shutdown of votronic inverters or the control of peripheral devices such as the votronic switch unit. The crash sensor is looped between the inverter and the remote control and switches it off automatically in the event of an accident. This fulfills the requirements of din vde 0100-717, which prescribes an automatic emergency shutdown of power generation devices that carry a voltage greater than extra-low voltage. When operated on an inverter, the crash sensor meets the requirements of din en 13976 due to its low current consumption of less than 3 mA.

Initialization
For automatic position detection, the crash sensor must be initialized once during initial commissioning. To do this, the trimmer must be set to the "Setup" position. Then the
Connection to the power supply is then established (connection to inverter or "External +"). The led of the crash sensor now flashes alternately red/green. In this case, check the installation position of the sensor and repeat the process. If the crash sensor has been successfully programmed, the trimmer must be moved to the center position. The device is now in normal operation. Operating voltage is applied to the "External On/Off" terminal and the LED flashes green.
