Victron current transformer 100A:50mA for MultiPlus-II (1m) wire end
The 100 a:50 mA current transformer from Victron (mpn ctr120000500) is the latest addition to the MultiPlus-II / MultiGrid-II series and, unlike its predecessor, has a wire end instead of a connection socket. The transformer can be used to implement the PowerControl and PowerAssist function and to optimize self-consumption with external current measurement.
Highlights
- For MultiPlus II and MultiGrid II series
- Cable length: 1m
- Max. Current: 32A
- Installation via one wire end
PowerControl - Optimization of the power supply with limited alternating current
The MultiPlus-II / MultiGrid-II can deliver a very high charging current. This places a heavy load on the AC power supply or alternator. For this reason, a maximum current can be set. The MultiPlus-II then takes into account the consumption already present and only uses the amount of current still available to charge the battery.
PowerAssist - Extended use of the generator or shore connection: the "assist" function
This function adds a new dimension to the PowerControl principle, as the MultiPlus-II can support an alternative source that is too weak. Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus-II ensures that insufficient AC mains power or generator output is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e. consumers are switched off, the available energy can then be used again to charge the batteries.
