The complete solar systems from Offgridtec (MPN 014535) are an ideal way to produce part of your required household electricity yourself and significantly reduce your overall expenditure on electricity. In addition to a solar module and matching micro inverter, the systems contain everything you need to connect to the household power grid and, if required, for mounting on the balcony railing or roof. The set is designed for mounting the modules side by side. Our support team will be happy to provide you with advice and assistance for individual module installation options.
How does a solar system work?
The compact Offgridtec solar system consists of a solar module and the matching Hoymiles micro inverter for feeding into the home power grid. Ideally, the inverter is attached directly to the substructure of the solar module and connected to the solar module using the solar plug connector. the AC cable is connected via the Betteri connection of the inverter and routed directly to the appropriate socket. No special settings are required to use the solar power generated in the domestic power grid. If electricity is already available from local sources, the appliances in the household use this first and then supplement with mains power as required.
The complete solar system contains:
- 4x Luxen Solar 430W TopCon bifacial solar module Full Black Luxneri Series N5
- 1x Hoymiles HMS-1600-4T Microinverter module inverter
- 1x Hoymiles HMS connection cable 3x1.5mm² Plug&Play (length selectable 5m - 10m - 15m)
- 4x 3m 6mm² MC-4 connection cable plug/socket extension
- Optionally selectable: Installation package for balcony railings - flat roof - plain tile roof - tiled roof - corrugated hernite and sheet metal roof
Luxen 430W Luxneri Series 5 Full Black bifacial
The monocrystalline and bifacial 430W Series N5 solar module from Luxen Solar impresses with a combination of different technologies, such as N-TOPCon cell technology and a 108 half-cell layout. SMBB half-cut cell technology was also used during production to increase performance. The state-of-the-art solar module represents the pinnacle of solar technology, offering impressive power output and low LCOE. Hoymiles HMS-1600-4T Microinverter Module inverter
The HMS-1600-4T (MPN: HMS-1600-4T) from Hoymiles is the perfect microinverter for your balcony power plant. The compact lightweight (only 5.56kg) is suitable for solar power production with up to four solar panels up to an output of 320W to 540W+ each. Just like all other microinverters from Hoymiles, it is suitable for long operating hours and wide PV module applications, as its starting voltage is very low (only 22V) and the DC input range of the operating voltage (16-60V) is extremely wide.
- Recommended module power: up to 320W - 540+W (per module)
- MPPT voltage range: 16-60V
- Switch-on voltage: 22V
- Maximum input voltage: 65V
- Maximum input current: 4*14A
- Maximum input short-circuit current: 4*25A
- Nominal output power: 1600VA
- Rated output current: 6.96A
- Nominal output voltage/range: 230V / 180-275V
- CEC peak efficiency: 96.70%
- Ambient temperature range: -40°C - +65°C
- Dimensions (WxHxD): 331 x 218 x 40.6 mm
- Weight: 5.56kg
- Housing classification: IP67
Optional monitoring of your system is only possible with a data transmission unit (DTU). Here you have the choice between the DTU Lite-S and the DTU Pro-S.
Optional mounting systems
Offgridtec solar systems are available with or without mounting sets. There is a choice of mounting sets for:
- Balcony railings: with matching C-hooks
- Flat roof: inclination angle 10° - 60°
- Plain tile roof: with plain tile roof hooks
- Tiled roof: with 3-way adjustable roof hooks
- Corrugated hernite and sheet metal roof: with stainless steel hanger bolts
Solar systems in Germany
There is currently no law or regulation in Germany governing the generation of solar power for purely domestic use. The maximum limit of 600W AC PV power is a reserve value which, according to the current VDE standard, can be fed into an existing socket circuit in a house without overloading it. Nothing is described for independent circuits without additional load.
Every electrical installation should be VDE-compliant. However, the operation of such a solar system via the standard earthed socket is not prohibited. Registration with the Federal Network Agency is mandatory. However, there are as yet no known cases of fines for failure to report such solar systems, or insurmountable problems with grid operators. Compliance with and implementation of standards and obligations is the responsibility of the system operator. A lot of technical and legal information on this can already be found on relevant websites.

Inverter.
