The balcony power plants from Offgridtec provide a practical solution to generate a portion of the electricity needed for the household and thus significantly reduce costs for overall electricity consumption. The system includes two black-frame solar modules, an appropriate micro-inverter including a DTU control unit, as well as an AC connection cable that connects the inverter to a power outlet. The modules are designed to be installed directly next to each other.
How does a balcony power plant work?
The Offgridtec balcony power plant is a space-saving solar system that consists of a solar module and a suitable Hoymiles micro-inverter to feed the generated electricity into the home's electrical network. The inverter is ideally mounted directly on the frame of the solar module and connected with the solar connector from the module. The AC cable is connected via the battery connection of the inverter and led directly to the corresponding socket. You can choose between a conventional Schuko socket and a Wieland feed socket included in the delivery. No special settings are required to utilize the generated solar power in the home's electrical network. If electricity from other sources is available in the home, it will be used preferentially and supplemented by grid electricity when needed.
The Balcony Power Plant Complete System includes:

Balcony Power Plants in Germany
Currently, there is no law or regulation in Germany that governs the generation of solar power for pure self-consumption. The limit of a maximum 600W AC PV output is a reserve value that can be fed into an existing socket circuit of a house according to the current VDE standard without overloading it. No description is available for independent circuits without additional load. Every electrical installation should be carried out in accordance with VDE. However, the operation of a balcony power plant through the usual Schuko socket is fundamentally not prohibited. Registration with the Federal Network Agency is mandatory. However, no cases of fines for non-registration of balcony power plants have been reported, nor are there insurmountable issues with network operators. The compliance and implementation of norms and obligations fall to the plant operator. Many technical and legal information is already available on relevant websites.

Inverter.
