This solar set for self-sufficient power supply in a motorhome really leaves nothing to be desired. The island solar system is specially designed for motorhomes. except for the batteries, it contains everything you need to install and start up the 12v-solarasystem. semi-flexible monocrystalline 120w / 12v Hígh-End solar panel with back-contact high-power solar cells from the american manufacturer sunpower - currently the best that can be processed with an efficiency of over 24%. This is where the world's best solar cells and the new back-contact process meet. The result is a high-end product at a solid price. in addition, we have taken special care in the production of this series to ensure that the rest of the module also does justice to the valuable cells.
This panel is significantly lighter and smaller in area than conventional solar cells with the same output. the light yield in poorer conditions is also higher in the sP series than in our normal mono series.
The modules are flexible up to a curvature of 30% This corresponds to a bendability of up to 30 cm measured from the center of the module at a module length of 1 meter. We recommend bonding the modules with the included adhesive set with individual, thick adhesive strips. The module also has fixing holes. Please refer to our user instructions.

The Votronic MPP 170 CI solar charge controller
With a maximum charging power of 170 watts and the proven Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPP) technology, the charge controller maximizes the yield of your solar system by automatically determining the optimum operating point for the solar cells. This ensures efficient conversion of solar energy into electrical power and thus optimizes charging efficiency.

the measured values are shown clearly on the display and can be easily operated at the touch of a button for better control and use of the solar system. The current solar power is also always shown as a bar graph, enabling control at a glance. The display is backlit (switchable) and is very easy to read even from great distances and in all lighting conditions.

all necessary cables are already pre-crimped with specialist tools. so you do not need to buy special pliers for the mc-4 connectors. The cable has a length of 8m and accommodates 2 wires á 6mm².

Cable feed-throughs from the roof into the interior are always quite tricky, because it must be ensured that even after years everything is absolutely tight and also remains tight.
Even the slightest water ingress can cause irreparable damage to the interior insulation and furnishings. Especially since moisture is often not noticed until quite late. this is why the roof penetrations were developed:
The housings are made of the same Uv- and weather-resistant material as the mounting brackets offered in the online store. they are extremely stable and absolutely slip-proof. The wide adhesive edge ensures optimum sealing.
the bushings can be glued on with the adhesive set that you also need to glue on the solar mounting brackets. The housings can also be painted as desired and thus adapted to the substrate on which they are to be mounted.
The bonding
Properly executed bonding is superior to any screw connection in tough motorhome or boat applications. On painted or GRP surfaces, a strength of over 4 N/mm2 can be achieved, a value that would never be attainable with a screw connection in the thin aluminum or GRP carrier layer. This adhesive set enables even a layman to create an absolutely firm connection between spoilers and the respective substrate.
The bonding set contains all components necessary for even the do-it-yourself installer to create a professional bond. Stainless steel screws for fastening the solar modules are included, as are detailed bonding instructions. In addition, all you need is a standard hand lever press for cartridges and a lint-free cloth.
