With the 10L caravan water boiler from Fothermo (MPN 1004-CPVB-10), you can produce hot water sustainably and cost-effectively using solar power. This intelligent boiler uses energy directly from photovoltaic modules or a battery and does not require a 230V mains connection. Connecting solar modules and batteries is child's play and can be done in just a few seconds.
The water connection is made via a practical 1/2″ standard thread, and installation is extremely straightforward thanks to the well thought-out design - without any specialist knowledge. Simple installation
Two mounting rails ensure stable attachment, regardless of whether the boiler is mounted on the wall or on the floor of the vehicle.
Innovative technology
The boiler offers excellent connection options for 12V/24V battery and solar modules and supports a photovoltaic connected load of up to 1500Wp (modules in parallel). We recommend connecting a 100-300Wp solar module with a maximum open-circuit voltage of 42.4 V. An innovative MPP tracker is integrated to ensure maximum photovoltaic yield.
In addition, the boiler has a battery connection for connection to a battery; the Fothermo battery cable is required for this. It automatically recognises whether a 12V or 24V battery is connected and adjusts itself accordingly. This allows the boiler to operate intelligently on battery power, utilising surplus energy or reheating the water from the on-board battery. It also automatically identifies whether it is a LiFePO4 or lead-acid battery.
Two digital displays
You can read the current water temperature, the heating output and the total amount of energy ever fed into the boiler at any time. A second display with a cable length of 5 metres allows you to view the temperature from anywhere in the caravan. An integrated small battery ensures that the displays are also clearly visible at night.
Up to 25 litres of hot water
The photovoltaic caravan boiler heats the water up to 65 °C and then switches off automatically. For showers, the hot water is mixed with colder water in a standard shower fitting. This means that up to 25 litres of water at a temperature of 35 °C can be used, which is easily enough for 2 people with an economy shower head.
