Module Inverters
Are you looking for an efficient and reliable way to convert the energy of your small solar system into electricity? Then you should invest in a module inverter. Our micro inverters all come from national and international brands and are available in different sizes and power levels. Take a look at our shop and find out if there is something suitable for your purposes.
What are module inverters?
Module inverters - also called micro-inverters - convert the direct current (DC) generated by the solar modules into alternating current (AC). This is important because only the AC current can be used to operate end devices such as refrigerators, lamps, microwaves & co. The only difference to conventional inverters: module inverters are smaller and less powerful, which is why they are mainly used in balcony power plants.
Suitable inverters for different applications
Module inverters are connected directly to the solar modules, their size and capacity are determined by the power and number of solar modules. At Offgridtec we offer a wide range of module inverters with:
- 300W
- 400W
- 600W
- 800W or more
Find out now which variant fits your needs perfectly! We will be happy to advise you.
We also offer a range of accessories to facilitate the installation of your module inverter, including mounting brackets, cables and much more.
Module inverter or string inverter: Which is better?
There are two main types of inverters to choose from for self-consumption: String inverters and micro inverters. With string inverters, several solar modules are connected in series until the system voltage of 1,000 volts DC is reached. This approach is often used for larger solar systems, but is not suitable for smaller systems. Micro-inverters, which are installed directly on the modules, are ideal for small solar systems.
Micro-inverters operate independently and offer a convenient and reliable solution for smaller self-consumption systems.

FAQ
- What is a module inverter? Inverters are indispensable for any solar installation. They are responsible for converting the direct current generated by the solar modules into the alternating current that you use in your home.
- Is a module inverter or string inverter better? That depends on how large and powerful your solar system is. There are two main types of inverters to choose from for self-consumption: String inverters and micro inverters. String inverters are often used in larger solar systems. An alternative for small solar systems is to use micro-inverters, which are installed directly on the modules.
- How does a module inverter work? Module inverters allow each solar module to produce electricity separately. This way, the entire system cannot be affected by shading or malfunction of a single module. With micro-inverters, you get reliable, efficient solar power generation with maximum safety.
- How do I mount a micro inverter? The micro-inverter can be mounted quickly and easily with a module bracket, directly under each PV module. By connecting the DC cables of the PV module directly to the microinverter, you do not have to worry about coming into contact with high DC currents during installation.
