The backup systems from Offgridtec are ideally suited for emergency power supply or for expanding an existing solar system. The systems include Pylontech Lithium-Ion batteries, a suitable MultiPlus-II inverter, and a Cerbo GX MK2 for system monitoring from Victron Energy. This ensures that you can maintain your energy supply even in the event of a power outage.
Thanks to the UPS function, the MultiPlus remains active even during a grid failure and takes over the supply for connected consumers. The switchover occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

Extended Use of Your Backup System
To establish an ESS (Energy Storage System) with the backup system, an energy meter with connection cable is required:
With this energy meter, you can implement a grid-parallel installation and subsequently monitor your energy consumption and control your energy costs. Thanks to phase compensation, the 3-phase meter can also be operated for single-phase systems. This allows for seamless integration of decentralized energy sources and consumers into the existing power grid.
To ensure the ESS is considered in the pre-configuration, the meter must be purchased in advance or together with the system!

The Electronic Core – the Victron MultiPlus-II Unit
The MultiPlus-II is a high-end unit from Victron Energy, consisting of a 48V battery charger, inverter, and transfer switch. This combination merges the classic MultiPlus components with an external current sensor and integrated anti-islanding function. As a result, PowerControl and PowerAssist functions are extended to 50A, broadening its potential applications to energy storage system applications. Therefore, the MultiPlus can be ideally used as a backup device in grid-linked and off-grid systems for power supply.
