This balcony power plant from Offgridtec offers you a powerful 1800W solution to generate part of your household electricity needs yourself, significantly reducing your total electricity consumption costs. The system includes four Full Black Luxen Solar panels, each delivering 450W and featuring cutting-edge technologies, a MIC-1500TL-X string inverter from Growatt including the Shine-WiLan-X2 control unit, and the single-phase SPM-E energy meter, which is used for grid export limitation and self-consumption monitoring. The set also includes a 30m solar cable and a 10m high-end rubber cable from Lapp-Kabel, as well as 3 MC4 connectors. The modules are designed to be installed directly side by side.
How does a balcony power plant work?
The 1800W balcony power plant from Offgridtec is a space-saving solar system consisting of four solar modules and a suitable Growatt micro inverter to feed the generated electricity into the household power grid. The inverter should ideally be mounted near the solar panel and connected using the solar connector on the module. No special configuration is required to use the generated solar power in the home power network. If electricity is available from other sources in the house, it is used first and supplemented by grid power if necessary.

Luxen Solar N5 450W Panel
The bifacial 450W Full Black solar panel of the Luxneri N5 series from Luxen Solar (MPN LNDX-450ND) sets new standards in solar technology. It combines innovative technologies such as LECO N-TOPCon cell technology and a 96-cell half layout to maximize efficiency. The SMBB Half-Cut cell technology is also used to optimize performance.

LECO N-TOPCon Cell Technology
The advanced TOPCon technology (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) is an evolution of the PERC technology and aims to increase the efficiency of solar cells. It is complemented by Low Efficiency Cell Optimization (LECO), which further improves overall cell performance, especially under suboptimal lighting conditions. During manufacturing, an ultra-thin oxide layer and a conductive layer are applied to create a passivated contact. This improves the cell's performance in low-light environments and contributes to higher annual energy output.
Additionally, the combination of TOPCon and bifacial technology allows for even greater efficiency, as the cells can capture 15% more reflected light. These synergistic effects result in significantly increased energy yields, making these solar cells an outstanding choice for modern photovoltaic applications.
Half-Cut Technology
In half-cell technology (also called “half-cut”), conventional silicon cells are split in half using a laser. These half cells are then centrally connected in parallel, which reduces resistance losses and increases the performance of the solar panel.

MIC 1500TL-X String Inverter
The Growatt MIC 1500TL-X string inverter (MPN: MIC 1500TL-X) is a single-phase inverter that combines high yields with user-friendliness. It is particularly suitable for small PV systems and delivers up to 1500W of AC output power. Simply connect it via the MC4 connector to your solar system and you’re good to go. It efficiently covers part of your electricity needs.
An optional WiFi module allows the device to be monitored and configured remotely using the Shine app or web platform.

Why a String Inverter?
